1 . Practice relaxation techniques

Relaxation techniques include deep breathing exercises, listening to music, doing yoga, or whatever it takes to encourage relaxation. This technique will help to calm your brain and ease the tension and stress. When your mind is relaxed with neither distractions nor stress, it is not easy to get angry or be annoyed easily. Thus, I suggest, you should consider practicing relaxation techniques. In so doing you will reduce the effects before it becomes too late.

2 . Know your triggers and avoid stressful conversations

If you find people discussing something that you know can raise your temper, you should politely excuse yourself from the conversation. Because if you stay and involve yourself in that conversation, you will probably get angry. Especially when people are not on your side in that particular conversation. Knowing yourself is a strength. If you know what triggers you to get angry easily, avoid it immediately before you regret it.

3 . Adjust your mindset

Avoid having a negative outlook on every conversation. Someone can make a stressful conversation even more stressful by always being negative about everything. This might trigger your anger easily, but if you look at every conversation with a positive eye even if it is negative you won’t be annoyed easily. Negativity sometimes makes you think that the conversation is about you or people are gossiping about you and start to fume, while in reality, nobody was talking about you. Adjust your mindset and always be positive.

4 . Do some physical exercises

When engaging yourself in physical exercises more often may help you reduce the stress that can cause you to become angry. If you feel that your anger escalate, try to go for a walk or run or involve yourself in any physical activity that you like to do. Holding grudges is more dangerous because it awakes the anger inside so easily. Remember that forgiveness is powerful and able to make yourself free from hatred. It is like dropping a huge load that you carried a mile long. Thus, Learn to forgive and make yourself free. I know sometimes it is very hard to forgive and forget, but, for a short-tempered personality am afraid you don’t have a choice but t forgive. This will help you stay away from trouble and manage your anger.

6 . Find a place you can be alone

When you are in a stressful moment, seeing your temper rising, try to find a place where you can be alone for some time. You can go anywhere, even if it is in the toilet, and stay alone until you are calm. By doing this you will be able to manage your temper and avoid consequences that come after your temper escalates.

7 . Smile more often

People with short temper personalities are barely smiling. The stress inside and hatred from grudges makes them angry all the time. You can find them quiet even if everyone else is laughing. Learn to smile all the time because smiling lowers your body’s stress response while fighting feelings of anger.

Managing your anger can be so challenging sometimes for most people. There are people born with anger in their blood. Such people need a helping hand. Only reading these tips may not be enough for them to change. If you find being one of those people, and you don’t know what to do, please seek help from professionals.
